Upgrade to other versions. From Knut Geiger's master tapes from FM. [Simon_Funnell]

The release that would have been FAde... I'm glad Mark let this one loose. Been collecting dust for too long.

To my ears, it's pitch bent downwards a little so I am not quite as enamored of this tape as some other folks - but it is pretty good. [speedy]

[holden]

For me the only thing that keeps this recording from being an A+ is that the FM signal is fairly compressed, giving a monaural quality to it (though it does have a slight stereo field). However, this is one of the best versions of In the Cage that I have ever heard Phil sing! [pablo]

This one is so difficult for me to grade. It is good certainly but when compared to something like Live in the City of Light, it just doesn't really cut it. Granted this isn't Pre-FM but I have heard FM's that fool me into thinking they are Pre-FM. This recording is rough around the edges and while it has a great audience presence throughout, it just sounds too pumped up for my tastes. It has a touch of interference throughout and I'd also say that due to its pumped up nature, has a bit of distortion as well. So, yes, it is good but not great. I'd give it an A-. [duke23]

Mike has a lapse of guitar playing ability during the last part of that’s all,but he saves it just in time. [Paul Bower]
