Recording comments |
A bit disappointing in that I find the original source material of this remaster to sound better than the remaster. Still, bests "Triangle on Domino". But I *recommend* "Master of Berlin". [speedy] This pre-FM recording could have been released as is as an official live album-it's that good. If "Master Of Berlin" is better, then the band really need a kick up the backside for not releasing it! [assureaseggsiseggs] I guess the best way to describe this recording is to understand what this is. This recording is a Remaster of TM Productions repackaged version; Live in Berlin, which was originally identified as Master of Berlin. This is primarily Pre-FM and not FM as it states. The only exceptions are Throwing it all Away, Drum Duet, and most of the spoken introductions; which are from a 2nd Generation source taken from the same gig. I can't vouch for TM Productions original source but this BURP version sounded pretty rock solid to me. The mix was great all around and everything was well balanced to my ears. A definite must have no matter which version you grab! [duke23] |
