Good. Very similar to Progweed 09. [speedy]

This show is always referred to as the 'late' or 2nd show for the 19th. It isn't. This is the 'early' or afternoon gig. Or, what it is commonly referred to as 'Roxy 5'. I know Gabriel's strong reference to it being the late show, "Second Verse, same as the first" and his "Last show of tour" comment, but I don't know why he said this as this recording IS NOT the last show. 'Roxy 6' resides at Fisher Lane Farm and is not in circulation.

The Roxy segment is a good improvement over "Fantasia" with much less channel buzz. We get a bit more of Supper on this one before the cut, but still lose the last few minutes of the song. [pablo]

Great perfomance, but the tapes used for that release still got some hiss and frequencies troubles. [Gigio67]

Strange that these two shows were chosen for this set. Sounds great, however. The title is "From a Flower To An Earl", like the front cover says. [Bangsmith]

Very good soundboard from this tour. Great show and the band is in top form. My version however does not have the BBC recordings or the ones from South Hampton. [legalbeagle]

Somehow, the improper dating of this show has continued. Here is my post from Oct 2005 to a Genesis Mailing List (the "you" is Mark B., and is a reply to his remarks also found as a recording comment on this show):
----------------------
I listened recently to all 3 normally available recordings from the December
1973 Roxy shows. I attended the "Roxy 2" and "Roxy 4" shows and recently
contacted and corresponded with someone who went to the shows with me, and who wrote me his current recollections of the shows.

Based on all this, I think that the BURP010/Fantasia/etc recording is from "Roxy
4" - the late show of December 18th. This fits all the facts:

- Peter makes a comment indicating a late show "I can see you weren't all here
the first show". Unlike various other details that people remember from some
show or another (helium, Christmas references, etc.), this particular comment seems to hard to reconcile with an early show!
- You have commented on discussion boards that it is not the Roxy 6 show.
However, I think that you perhaps therefore ascribed it to Roxy 5 because Skywatchers says "December 19", and so you were't considering "December 18" at
all. But, Fantasia does say "December 18" - which is one data point at least.
- It has performance characteristics from the shows I attended, which I've now confirmed were both late shows.
- It has no aspect that I do not remember, unlike the other two recordings.
- The concerts identified as "Roxy 1" and "Roxy 3" (audience recording and AM Radio recording) seem less inspired than the Fantasia/Skywatchers/BURP010 concert, which seems to fit the likely explanation of the early shows being "warmups" for the later shows.

So, my educated guess is that Fantasia/Skywatchers/BURP010 is "Roxy 4", although there even remains a slight possibility that all sources of dating are incorrect, and it is "Roxy 2".

PS I searched thorough my old e-mail and found that I explored this issue
about six years ago with a couple of people who had Genesis web sites and were
newsgroup participants. At that time, "Jeff Kaa" and I both agreed that the
Fantasia (now BURP010) was a late show. [Roxy73]
